Dosage1

  • CHARGING DOSE

    20 mg of caffeine citrate per kg of body weight IV

  • IV = Intravenous
    PO = Oral

  • MAINTENANCE DOSE

    5 mg of caffeine citrate per kg of body weight IV or PO

If the response is inadequate, the maintenance dose may be increased to 10 mg of caffeine citrate per kg per day.
